Beach, Barbecue, Birthday

Monday was my 24th birthday, and in celebration, Ian & I both took a long weekend off work to enjoy the lovely sunny weather we were having (it has since, unfortunately, reverted back to the miserable, rainy weather us Welsh folk are used to!)  On the Friday, we went to Swansea and the mumbles.  We sat on the beach for a while before he got too hot & I got too hungry so we headed to get some food.  We had a little play in the arcade and Ian bought me a little willow tree figure that I'd been after for ages as an early birthday present.

Mountain views on the drive over
The sun was shining in his eyes! Awww
Beachy feet

Arcade!
Once we'd finished in the arcade, we headed to Joe's Ice Cream Parlour, which does what is possibly the most delicious ice cream in the world.  We both used to go there a lot when we were young so it was also a little like reliving our childhoods! :)

It was a really lovely day, and the evening was equally as nice!  We met up with some of my friends in Treforest, we had drinks and nachos and I gave Ian some 'Dave's insanity sauce', which is rumoured to be so hot that it's able to 'strip waxed floors'.   He took the whole spoonful, which I was in the middle of telling him not to do, needless to say he regretted that decision!

I love the last photo of us :)
We had a good old fashioned lie in on the Saturday morning, in preparation for a barbecue courtesy of my dad in the evening.  My auntie and uncle joined us and we all ate a little too much I think!

My dads immaculate bbq presentation!
Give me foodz!
All too busy eating to smile!
Sunday was a quiet day, Ian went home to Cardiff to prepare my birthday prezzies and my parents & I went for a Carvery.  Monday morning I was spoilt rotten.  Presents, cards, money, vouchers and a lovely little cake :)

Greeted by this at the breakfast table :D
Some of my cards
The tiny bunting at the front is my favourite thing in the world!
Cutest little cake!
It went perfectly with a cup of tetley
Presents from my lovely :) Mainly stuff for the flat we'll be getting soon!!

I felt very differently this birthday than last year.  Last year I was on a bit of a downer because of the fact that I was turning 23 and I was still single (after being very let down by someone I had a lot of faith in).  This year I didn't much think about the fact that I was a year older, but more about how much things had changed in a positive way in the past year, how glad I am that things turned out the way they have, and how much more content I am with life now.  Mostly thanks to this little devil of course! :)

Cutie :P
I have so much more to blog about! I will do it soon, I promise

28

28 is my favourite, or I suppose you could call it 'lucky' number.
I live at number 28, my birthday is the 28th, I passed my driving test on the 28th, in 2008.

Saturday was Ian's 28th birthday
Here's hoping it'll be a good year :)

His birthday weekend involved attending my first ever rugby match, beans on toast for breakfast, 'American Pie the Reunion' at the Cinema, milkshakes in the Bay, Frankie & Benny's, 2 birthday cakes and seeing The Horrors at Cardiff Solus.

It was a good weekend. How was yours?

Date Night!

I meant to post this before I went to London, but alas, I didn't get around to it!

Anyway, last week, me and moo had a proper date night.  We went to Cardiff Bay and had food at Eddie's American Diner, which was a very good idea. We had burgers, fries, and possibly the best milkshakes we had ever tasted, they were awesome!
We'll definitely be going there again :)

After food, we went and played on the 2p machines in the arcade for a bit before heading to the Cinema (for the first time together since the summer!) to see The Avengers Assemble.

It was soo so good, I didn't really know what to expect from it but can honestly say I really enjoyed.  The little comedy bits were my fave, just perfect.  We got a free Captain America keyring for buying a large popcorn/drink too :)

All in all it was a very, very good night!
