One Big Update!

I really need to be better at this! I seem to be constantly busy and can never find the time to sit down and write about everything. When I was younger I used to write in a diary almost every day, I must make more time to do it now!

Since my last post, Wales won the Gland Slam! We all ventured out into the big city to watch the game, it was packed! The day started with the largest drink I've ever had, a two pinter. All of the boys dressed up in their red and white, it was a good day :)

Ian and the boys played another gig, this time in their hometown, Llanelli. It was much better than the last as they had all their friends there and the pub was a much better venue. Taking pictures was awkward because of the position of the stage. I got a good one of Moo though :)

And on the keyboard, we have... Mr Mason!
We also went to Cardiff Bay to watch the BBC Orchestra of Wales play the music along with an episode of Doctor Who!! They played along to last years Christmas Special, 'The Doctor, the widow and the wardrobe' and it was brilliant. We had dinner at a pub in the Bay too, lovely, lovely evening.

The TARDIS was hiding in the Senedd as we walked back to the car!
Sunday was mothers day! I think Mrs Dean did pretty well in the gift department! I spent the day at home and we watched TV and a DVD, 'The Soloist', which I didn't realise was a true story until the end, amazing!

& some flowers to go with it!
I had a catch up with the girls for Harriets birthday, we went to TGI Fridays and stuffed our faces. It's always lovely to see them, I don't often enough these days!

Finally, in the past two weeks I've actually got around to getting some reading done.

We had a quiet period at work so I started 'Harry Potter and the Philosophers Stone'. I love the Harry Potter series, and have seen and own all the films, but I'm ashamed to admit that I've never read the books! I finished 'Philosophers Stone' in 2 days and whilst I was waiting for 'the Chamber of Secrets' to arrive I made a start on 'Looking for Alaska' by John Green, which I adored. I'm now a few chapters in to 'Chamber of Secrets' and am feeling quite proud of myself!

Does anyone have any recommendations as to what I should read next?

Lie-ins and long weekends

Today I took a day off work, and this Saturday morning was the first I hadn't worked in a good few weeks, so this weekend I've managed three lovely lie-ins! And I feel so much better for it! Weirdly, I keep dreaming about cats though, not entirely sure what that means...

Today I nipped into town to finish off my mams' Mothers Day present shopping, and finally got around to printing off some photos to fill the frames I bought from Urban Outfitters back in November! They are looking lovely now though :)

On Saturday night Ian and I went to see Truckers of Husk and Gallops play at the Globe in Roath, Cardiff. I was quite impressed.

Gallops are 'Math Rock' (as Ian informs me) and I'd seen them twice with him at Swn Festival last year, as much as they're totally not to my normal taste, I really do like them, and they play really well. Their drummer is amazing! Truckers' set went down well too, everyone loved it and for the last song their drummer took his whole kit off the stage into the audience to play!

Yesterday we (Ian, whilst I slept) watched the rugby and then went out for Chinese!! It was delicious (if not slightly pricey), but I'd been craving it for a good while so it had to happen eventually!

Tuck in Moo!
Hope you had a good weekend too!

Hello March...

I always find myself saying this, but I really can't believe how quickly this year is passing.  Valentines & Pancake Day both done, and Mother's day just around the corner!

Last weekend was everything I anticipated, good times from beginning to end :)
Wales won over England in the Six Nations, and in the process won themselves the Triple Crown trophy!  On the way home Ian hugged & high-fived almost everyone we saw, needless to say we were a little bit merry! We went to a little pub called the Full Moon to watch the game with a few friends.  After a few drinks this was a little confusing, but a cool idea on their part none the less :P

Are you a Roadie or a Groupie??
On the Sunday we fought off our hangovers and ventured into town, where Ian bought new glasses, jeans and some very expensive cans of Mountain Dew.  I treated myself to a few new items for Spring.

Floral Dress & Cream Bird Print Blouse: H&M
Purple Dress, Floral Top & Mint Bird Print Top: New Look
After shopping, Ian & I went to Harvester with Ralph & Rach as it was Ralph's Birthday, the food, as always, was amazing :)

The 1st of March marked our 8 month-iversary (to coin a phrase), and after being single for over 2 years, I think that two-thirds of a year is quite a milestone!
Ian & the boys played a St. Davids Day gig in Carmarthen Students Union.

Post Future Revivalists in action!
Tonight we're going to see Truckers of Husk (a local Cardiff band) and Gallops (from North Wales) at The Globe in Cardiff.  Tomorrow I'm going to attempt to convince Ian to take me out for Chinese food, wish me luck!
