Goodbye January...

Can't quite believe the first month of 2012 is over already.  Time seemingly moves so fast these days.

This weekend it's been trying its best to snow, it's stuck a little on the mountains but the roads have been too wet!

This weekend involved good food, good friends and good music

Aimes came all the way to Wales from Chipping Norton to see the lovely All Time Low in Cardiff :) We had Frankie & Benny's, watched The Little Mermaid and danced the night away!

It's such a shame that we live so far apart!

February's looking like a fun month so far, a few important dates down in the diary already! Including of course, the first Valentine's that Ian and I will spend together (and the first in as long as I can remember that I won't be spending alone!)

This weekend has been lovely, it started off with a cheeky Friday night pizza hut, and then on Saturday afternoon I walked into town while Moo was at work for a few hours. I took some photos :)

I did some shopping in New Look as I had vouchers to spend from Christmas, bought some pretty dresses, a few belts and a magazine organiser from paperchase

After Ian finished work, he picked me up and we went to Wetherspoons on the outskirts of Cardiff which had the poshest toilets I've ever seen!

There was even a fountain!

We got home and had some drinks and watched the Scarlets game and million pound drop, I got drunk and fell asleep, but it was lovely.  Today we had a carvery before I came home, it's so nice to have full weekends together once in a while :)

And then, when it seems we will never smile again, life comes back

I've been thinking lately about how much has changed for me in the last year.  This time last year I'd been single for almost 2 years, and it was beginning to get me down.  Even my dad was suggesting that maybe I should apply to go on ITV's 'Take Me Out'.  Since then, I've had my hopes raised and my heart broken, but I picked myself back up, like I always do, and managed to find something, someone, even better in the process.  Now, love, commitment and the possibility of finally leaving home in order to make my own are becoming a reality.  On New Year's Day I cried, and at the time I could not explain why.  Now I realise, maybe it's because I'm finally truly happy.

New Year, New Blog

I've used Tumblr for a while now, but it's existence has solely served the purpose of passing (wasting) time, as your basic picture blog.  For some reason I've never felt comfortable enough to use it for more personal posts, although I've always wanted to.  It would seem strange to suddenly change it, I think, and so here I am, setting up a blogspot, hopefully I'll find the time to keep it up to date!
